God bless Google!

Also I forgot to add I am happy my PR has come back! It disapeared for a while after the spam blog debarcle!

And this picture made me laugh! Googling all friends and potential boyfriends is a must. Especially when you find rather hilarious info, not about who you were stalking, sorry searching for.

If I google myself I get this blog! But in UK only I am a diving coach. Its crazy! Right, back to work!

I feel like a secret agent...

Right now I'm joining some ISP related forums... I'm going to try and get high post counts befriend people and then when they are least expecting it try and direct them to stuff I am plugging online. ..

Also I'm looking for more English language ISPs sites for possible link exchanges... Right now I'm racking my brains for potential candiate countries! If you have any suggestions let me know!

Bet you thought awards ceremonies were just for rock stars!

I am very proud to report that my colleagues have been nominated forBig Chip Awards, the North West's digital industry awards. Jamie Clouting has been nominated for the best rising star award, I really chuffed for him as he is great at his job and a really nice guy; he helped me loads when I started at PushON and still does when I have ditzy moments. Also VirtuAffinity have been nominated for the Didsbury Magazine site, so fingers crossed they will both win.

ISDN

Yesterday the BBC reported that BT are withdrawing ISDN services, saying,
"We are withdrawing consumer ISDN," said a BT spokesman, "the demand for it has dived with the availability of cheap, fast broadband."

ISDN has traditionally proven popular with those who need Internet access on the move, or those in areas where a faster Internet connection, such as ASDL is not available.

As the BBC points out, broadcasters will miss ISDN which provides more effective live broadcasts that IP alternatives. BT's ISDN customers will obviously miss the service, and many large ISPs may not be able to offer a cost effective alernative. However small ISPS are able to run a viable service. If you or anyone you know are going to be left in the lurch following BT's decision, FreeUKISP and 12Free are two ISPs that run an ISDN service you can count on.
